The Gates/Seinfeld Joint

This week, Microsoft launched its first commercial in the company's largest consumer marketing campaign ever. They are certainly working hard to bring back disgruntled Vista consumers. How does an advertising agency start to spend over $300 million dollars? If you're the CPB Group, you start in a shoe store, with the company's former CEO shakin'; his money maker with one of comedy's most powerful forces.

How does it stack up? You be the judge. We all got a laugh out of it here, but I think the message missed the mark. Memorable sure... but for what, exactly?

No, that's not a typo.

In Latin, the letter "V" is
pronounced like today's letter "U".
So, "Forvm" is pronounced "Forum".

We liked the Roman continuity with the
company's name. Besides - everyone's
got a blog, but how many companies
have a Forvm?
