Our very own Director of Business Development Steve Welch has made his slides available from the PRSA Tarheel chapter Crisis Communications conference held in September at Elon University. His topic focused on using the internet as an effective crisis communications tool. It was a hot topic at the conference, with many professionals asking lots of questions on how to leverage the Internet as an effective crisis communciations tool - especially with the advent of citizen journalists and bloggers and today's new "reporters" who use social networking sites as their primary distribution medium
The slides are 717 KB in size and were made in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. If you have an older version of PowerPoint, or do not own PowerPoint, you can download the free PowerPoint Viewer from Microsoft's website. As always, we'll be happy to answer any questions about them.

In Latin, the letter "V" is pronounced like today's letter "U". So, "Forvm" is pronounced "Forum".
We liked the Roman continuity with the company's name. Besides - everyone's got a blog, but how many companies have a Forvm?
